Confirm your place and arrival appointment
This checklist helps you prepare for the admissions conversation. It is not an acceptance letter or a list of guaranteed inclusions.
- Confirm that admissions has accepted your application and a space is available.
- Confirm whether you are moving to St. Johns House or Randolph Community.
- Get the arrival address, date, appointment time and contact person directly from admissions.
- Arrange your travel only after those details are confirmed.
Call admissions at 843-874-8709, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–8 p.m. Eastern. Saturday calls may be answered, but availability is not guaranteed. Sunday is closed.
Home visits are by appointment. Contact admissions before arranging a visit; there is no walk-in reception for visitors.
Get the payment details in writing
Housing is $995 per month, with a weekly payment option of $248.75 at either home. The intake fee is determined case by case. Ask for your total move-in amount, payment dates and refund terms in writing before committing. Review housing costs.
- Confirm your individual intake fee and total amount due before arrival.
- Confirm how weekly payments apply to the billing schedule, including months with more than four weeks.
- Ask which payment methods are accepted and what the refund and departure terms are.
Ask what to bring
- Request the current packing list and prohibited-items list from admissions.
- Ask which identification or admission documents you need to bring.
- Confirm whether bedding, towels, toiletries and laundry supplies are provided or should be packed.
- Discuss storage space before bringing furniture, large items or valuables.
Plan your medication and outside care
Discuss prescribed medications, storage arrangements and outside appointments privately with admissions before arrival. Confirm the current medication acceptance policy and any documentation needed. Do not change a prescribed treatment based on website information.
Arrange work and the commute
After you are employed at an approved workplace, purchase ride tickets directly from Get Out and Live, the transportation nonprofit. Tickets cost $5 each way, or $10 round trip. Confirm that the workplace is approved and that your shift, pickup and return arrangements can be accommodated before buying tickets or relying on a ride.
If you already have a job, discuss the employer and shift when planning your move. See employment support and transportation details.
Review everyday expectations
Ask admissions for the current written house expectations, including schedules, meetings, visitors, overnight arrangements and the process for raising a concern. Review these before committing so you understand how the home fits your needs.
